Texas Legislative Update
November 29th, 2010TREC Training
November 19th, 2010I was thinking about writing up some curriculum on understanding the home inspection for realtors. My goal would be to try and gain approval for this from TREC and then give the class to Realtors and possible credits. I will let you now how this goes.
Manufactured Home Inspections
November 17th, 2010Manufactured Home Inspections is important to get these right. They are more difficult to inspect than homes on slabs. They are prone to leaking and trapping water under the home.
New Service – Ranch Inspections
November 15th, 2010Had a great idea. Why not utilize everything I do and offer Ranch Inspections. I can use my horses to gain access to the far ends of the ranches and my RV for long trips. Yeah, a new service.
More FEMA Training
November 12th, 2010Went to the training today and it was very interesting. If I did not have anything else going, this would be a cool job. You have 24 hours to deploy and reach the site. Then you are assigned three days of projects. Can’t talk any more today – More later.
Veterans Discount
November 11th, 2010I got a call from a Veteran today that is now working for the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. He is buying his first home and was checking prices. I gave him the price listed and then told him I would knock 20 % off Veterans . I am very proud of all our Veterans. We can not even begin to pay them back.
FEMA Training
November 9th, 2010I am finally signed up for my FEMA field training. This means when a disaster happens in the US, I will be able to go in with the FEMA team after things are safe and help the victims with any assistance they may need for their home and living conditions.
Day off
November 6th, 2010I am so excited. Tomorrow my youngest daughter and myself are heading out to ride our horses in an area I use to go when I was a kid – The weather is suppose to be great.
Housing in Houston
November 5th, 2010Went to a luncheon yesterday on the economic forcat of Houston and the Nation. The good news is that Houston faired much better that the rest of the Nation, but I think we all new that anyway. The market is saturated with inventory at the moment and it will take several years to get back to where we originally were. The government just has to stop spending money.
